Shots are required for both Daycare and Boarding. Grooming appointments do not require shot records.
The Canine Influenza must be requested at the vet. It is two parts the first time it is received and takes about a month to complete. Please contact us if there are any timing issues with getting both parts prior to an upcoming reservation.
If your dog cannot receive any of the shots listed above, then you must have the vet write up a letter for us to keep on file. The reasoning cannot be "owner does not wish to give", or your dog will be declined entry for daycare and boarding.
Shots are required for all boarding cats.
The Feline Leukemia is not always given by the vet without it being requested by the owner.
If your cat cannot receive any of the shots listed above, then you must have the vet write up a letter for us to keep on file. The reasoning cannot be "owner does not wish to give", or your cat will be declined entry for boarding.
Our facility is equipped with the Greenheck Air Handling System, which exchanges our indoor air with fresh air from outside 10 times per hour. The air is also circulated using PetAirapy UV Sanitizing Technology, which uses UV light to kill up to 99% of zoonotic pathogens that can cause illness in dogs and cats. As an extra precaution, we change water bowls multiple times daily as many dogs use bowls together in our daycare area.
The most common illness contracted at any pet facility is Kennel Cough. The Bordetella vaccine is meant to help prevent this, which is why we require it every 6 months rather than yearly to keep your pet better protected. Request intranasal or oral Bordetella from the vet as these are more effective than the injectable version.
Due to our large capacity of dogs as well as dogs coming to us from all around the country, we require the Canine Influenza shot. This illness is very devastating to a dog's health, and we pride ourselves on healthy pups when they come to us. Entry will be denied if an owner refuses to vaccinate for the Canine Influenza. We have never had a case at our facility and plan to keep it that way!
When pets are nervous, they tend to get an upset stomach. Please understand that this is very common with boarding! We keep track of any issues, which usually clear up within 48 hours of check-in, and will report to the owner if anything is of concern to us. These symptoms may reoccur when the pet goes home as well, but do not be alarmed! If the symptoms are consistent for more than 48 hours after being home, please contact us and your vet if needed.
If we feel your pet is having an emergency, we will contact you, any additional owners, and your emergency contact first for approval to take your pet to your vet. If there is no answer, we will contact the vet directly to express our concerns and decide if owner approval can be overridden.
